The department of Education and Mass Media is planing to bring out the next issue of Carmaladhwani by 15th of January 2010. An earnest request is here by made to all our members to contribute your share by forwarding the news and events form your side at least by 20 th of December. You may forward the news through e-mail to  ( tomycmi@yahoo.com) or (joshymale@yahoo.com).
 
2. Carmel voice
I used to send e-mail news twice a month. Now it is being done once in a month and a printed copy of the same is forwarded to all our houses as "CARMEL VOICE" . Carmel voice is sent to every house along with the calendar for next month by 26th of every month. Most of the time you do have some news or events to be included in this news bulletin. Please do forward such news or events by 25th of every month so that all can be kept informed of the happenings which will strengthen our bond of friendship.
X'MAS MESSAGE

Dear fathers/Brothers,

 

Prayerful Christmas Greetings from Carmel Provincial House, Muvattupuzha!

The year is just about to end and I am sending New year and Christmas greetings to you.

This is a celebrating season and the Lord has been so good to me throughout the year. I guess He has been good to you too. I want you to join me in thanking God for his wonderful blessings upon us. Christmas is not only a time of celebrating but also the time of reflection in my life.

 

Let’s reflect on this old shoe story:

 

Two marketing executives were sent to Africa to sell shoes. They saw that none of the people in Africa wore shoes. One of the salesmen sent a message, “There is no market for shoes as nobody wears any shoes here”. The other salesman said, “Please send as many containers of shoes as possible as nobody has any shoes here”.

The same situation - viewed differently. It is the perception of both: one saw it as a problem and the other as an opportunity. The perception depends on  attitude. A positive attitude can only show the actual face of opportunity.

“So please don’t sleep or go out when opportunity knocks your door”. Identify and open the door of your mind!

Happy Christmas ; Bright and prosperous New Year
During this joyous season of Christmas and New year, I am very much delighted to greet you with love and invoke God’s abundant blessing on you and on all your activities.  May the Good Lord bless you, guide you and protect you.
 
Vestition and first Profession :  6 of our brothers along with two from Mysore and one from Kochi Province dedicated themselves  to God through their first profession during a beautiful liturgical service organized at Christ the King Monastery at 10.30 am on 08-12-2009. Fr. Antony Karyil, Fr. Varghese Koluthara ( Mysore Provincial) Fr. Jacob Mulerickal ( Prior) and Fr. Antony Kochalumkal ( Novice master) and myself were the clelebrants. Many of our fathers and brothers along with he parents and relatives attended the Holy Mass and the liturgical services. The day programmes came to its close with he meals served by 1.00pm. Best wishes and prayers. The following are the names of our brothers.

Provincial plenary Assembly and superiors meet
The provincial plenary assembly is about to begin in the provincial house with adoration at 5.30 pm. It will be followed by a joint meeting of the Superiors and Heads of all our institutions form 10.30 am to 4.00 pm tomorrow. 

Bro. Joji Irumpukuthiyil won the coveted first prize in the homily competition organized at our Major Seminary at Vadavathoor. The competition meant for all the major seminaries in Kerala was held on 3rd December 2009. There were participants from 8 Major seminaries. It was proud moments for Mary Matha Major seminary, Trichur as our Bro Irumpukuthyil won the coveted rolling trophy and the cash award of Rs. 1000/- It gives us immense pleasure in congratulating him on his achievement. Cangrats.

Golden stars of Calvary Mount :
NeethuSabu, Athira Muralidharan, Aleena alex, Sneha Balan and Tintu Joy of Calvary High school won medals at the national level athletics competitions. They were congratulated and cash prizes were given on behalf of Calvarymount parish and on behalf of Carmel Province during a meeting organized at 8.45 am  on Sunday 6th December 2009. Congrats.
 
Let us pray

1. Brijt Iype ( 93) , the beloved mother of Our dear father Francis Kudiyirickal slept in the Lord in the early hours of the day, Monday 07-12-2009.  A good number of our members were present for the funeral service which began at 2.50pm.

2. Marykuttty Rathapilly ( 74) , beloved sister of Rev. Fr. Francis Kudiyiricakl slept in the lord by 9.30 pm on Saturday 28th November 2009. Funeral ceremony was held at 2.00pm on Monday 30th November.  Let us pray for the departed souls and the bereaved family

3. Anice Thomas, the beloved sister of Fr. Jose Mappilamattel met with an accident in Italy with serious head and leg injury. Let us remember in our prayers
