The foundation stone was laid by Rev. Fr. Thomas Aykara CMI, the then Prior General, on 8th December,

A tailoring centre, Nirmala Vanitha Samajam and Yuva Jyothi were some other units run by the house till recently.
In 1998, a retreat centre began to function here under the charismatic leadership of Fr. Sunny Pulparambil and it is flourishing well by his charism. Thousands of people from various parts of Kerala take spiritual advantage from this centre.
A prayer hall of 6000 sq. feet was built and blessed on 25th June. Large number of people attend the night vigil on the 25th of every month.
